Maria navigates the most challenging policy debates to ensure that her client’s voice is heard in today’s overcrowded media market.
Maria focuses on issues in the future of transportation, mobility and connected cities. Growing up in Detroit, she learned first-hand the real-world issues impacting automotive communities. She believes that the future of mobility and smart communities will be one of the greatest disrupting issues of this era. Prior to Vrge, Maria worked on both the public and private sides of these issues with the City of Chicago’s Department of Buildings and Ford Motor Company’s Government Affairs arm.
Maria graduated from the University of Michigan with bachelor’s degrees in history and political science. Along with a team of students, Maria won an award for her research documenting the history of the anti-Vietnam War Movement at the University of Michigan. She also held leaderships roles in a pre-law group on campus and wrote for a student publication on tech policy issues.
In her free time, Maria enjoys exploring cities, watching NBA basketball and cheering for her alma mater — Go Blue!
